Michael Kofford DMD, MSD
Dr. Kofford is more than an orthodontist, he’s the guy next door, the one you watch the game with, the guy you grill burgers with in the backyard – a true neighbor and friend. And it’s this friendliness that sets him apart from others.
“I’m not a white coat kind of guy. I don’t want that to put a barrier between my patients. I want our patients to feel like friends.” – Dr. Kofford
Following dental school, Dr. Kofford continued his education with an Advanced General Dentistry residency. After completing his residency, Dr. Kofford served as the dentist for Fort Carson’s 10th Special Forces Group; this included a tour of duty in Iraq. And in 2010, he graduated from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Orthodontic Program.
When Dr. Kofford isn’t helping his patients achieve their best smile, he’s living life to the fullest – fishing, hiking, biking, camping, paddle boarding and jet surfing with his wife and their three kids.
Lou Taloumis, D.M.D.
Dr. Lou Taloumis is a retired Army Colonel with a toothbrush collection from around the world. It’s such a unique collection it’s even been featured in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. Pretty cool, huh? We sure think so! But that’s not all that’s cool about Dr. Taloumis.
After graduating from Syracuse University and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Taloumis completed his Orthodontic Residency at Fort Meade. Since then, he’s been the Director of Orthodontics at Fort Carson, a consultant to the Surgeon General for Orthodontics, a Diplomate for the American Board of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and he’s been published in several journals (including the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics).
Yet, the roles Dr. Taloumis is most proud of are the two he holds at home – “Dad” to his two sons and “best friend” to his wife, Lori.
