How to Treat TMJ/TMD
If you suffer pain in the jaw, cheek, or ear area that is worsened by stress, you may have a TMJ disorder. TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint, and it connects the jawbone to the skull. When you have a TMJ disorder, it can make the use of your jaw difficult and cause pain during normal activities such as speaking and chewing.
Minor cases of this disorder can be eased by taking special care of your jaw by eating softer foods, limiting movement, and even receiving Botox injections. If your TMJ disorder is more severe, you may need orthodontic treatment to help correct tooth placement and fix your misaligned jaw. This will reduce tension, eliminate discomfort, and give you a beautiful smile in the process.

This practice was recommended to me by multiple families, who each had several kids seen by SoCo. I believe you can have good service for one child but when you have multiple children go through a practice, you really get to know the staff and see a consistency in the quality of care (not not). We went for a consult and ended up getting care the same day, which thrilled my child. They are picking up where our other orthodontist left off because we had to move away. All the staff we interacted with were kind, caring and communicated well. We are looking forward to being part of this practice for a while with multiple of my children needs orthodontic care.
